New phone

I got my new phone yesterday. I got an iphone 4. I'm super excited. I can't wait to learn how to use it. So I guess you know what I will be doing this weekend.

Actually, Saturday I have a baby shower to go to and Troyfest. Sunday we will go to church and hang out around the house. I also need to clean, watch my shows from this week, go grocery shopping, and squeeze in some children and husband time.  I'm going to be a busy bee. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Just some sentences

This past weekend Grant wasn't feeling to well. Actually he was feeling fine but everytime he ate his stomach did not agree with him. Let just say momma had to clean up a huge mess in the bathroom floor over the weekend. Oh the joys of being a mom......Actually there are a ton of joys about being a mom. For instance, this morning on the ride to drop the boys off Grant wanted to hold my hand. So yes I drove with one hand because the other was holding my son's. Probably not the safest thing to do but it was so worth it. Who knows when he will want to hold my hand again. Yes I hold his hand when we walk through parking lots but I mean when he will ask to hold my hand because he loves me. That boy sure does know how to melt my heart.

This weekend we watched a funny movie The Change Up. It was about a man who is married with children and one of his friends who is a bachelor changing bodies for a while. I know it sounds wierd but it was funny (aside from some fool language). Both learn how the other ones life isn't perfect. Of course in the end they wanted to be themselves again and learned a valuable lesson. I think a lot of people could learn that lesson.  It is easy to see other peoples lives and think:  how perfect they seem, how much money they have, or what a nice car & job they have. The truth is we don't know what kind of troubles they have with their spouse, children, friends or money.  I am not trying to lecture anyone. I actually need to hear this myself sometimes. I am only human and I get caught up in struggles of my own. When I sit back and look at the big picture I realize I have everything I need... my family, my friends, my faith, and a roof over my head and food on the table. I might not be the richest, smartest, or prettiest woman out there but I have a great life full of wonderful people.

Speaking of wonderful people I'm going tomorrow night to see The Lucky One and eat mexican with some women from work. It is so nice to have people that I really consider my friends and not just coworkers. I am excited about some girl time. I love my boys but sometimes I wish there were other girls in our household. Maybe oneday I can have a little girl...... hint hint Andrew.

Motherhood.......

I saw this today and I loved it..... so I thought I would share it with everyone.

Motherhood
is a choice YOU make everyday
to put someone else's happiness and well being
ahead of your OWN
 to teach the hard lessons
to do the right thing
even when your not sure what the right thing is...
and to forgive yourself
over and over again
for doing everything wrong.

Breakfast for dinner

I don't know about you but I just love to have breakfast food for dinner. Usually when we do this at our house we have bacon, scrambled eggs, grits and biscuits or we have pancakes and bacon. Both of these meals I thoroughly enjoy. Last night I decided to cook breakfast with a new recipe, well sort of a new recipe. I've cooked it before but only like twice. It is super easy and very yummy. I'm not sure what it is called so I will just call it sausage and cream cheese casserole.

Ingredients:
1 pack cream cheese
1 pack of ground sausage
2 packs of cresent rolls

Directions:
1. Cook ground sausage thoroughly
2. While cooking sausage preheat oven to 350 and lay out cream cheese for it to soften
3. Put the first layer of cresent rolls on the bottom of your baking pan
4. When sasuage is complete drain grease, and mix with cream cheese until blended
5. Pour this mixture over cresent rolls
6. Top with other layer of cresent rolls
7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cresent rolls are done

Once again this is a super easy recipe. We had it for dinner last night and I ate more for breakfast this morning. It taste just as good warmed up. You can double the amount of cream cheese and sausage if you want a super thick casserole. I have had it this way before and it is good. I still prefer a thinner layer. I also cooked some cheese grits to go with it. Needless to say there was little talking around the dinner table last night.

5 months old

Today my sweet little Bryce is 5 months old. He is growing so fast.

At 5 months Bryce:
- can hold just about any of his toys.
-can roll over like a champ.
- most nights sleeps on his stomach. He rolls over during the night.
-eats stage one baby food.
-goes to bed around 8 and I have to wake him in the mornings.
- smiles and laughes a lot.
- loves to watch Mickey Mouse.
-likes to be outside.

We put up Bryce's bouncey seat and swing this weekend. He was too big for them. We got out his Baby Einstein Entertainer. Bryce loves it. Bryce is also sleeping in his pack and play instead of the infant sleeper. He can stretch out now. I'm working on putting him in his crib in his room. I just like the feeling of him being in the same room. I'm not ready to move my baby. I'm sure it will come soon because I think we are starting to wake him up in the mornings. Here are a few pictures of my sweet little big man.

To my loving little boy Bryce,
You make our house so happy. You can light up a room with your smile and your laugh is contagious. You make our family feel complete. I love the way you watch your brother. He is sometimes the only one who can keep you from crying. I think yall will turn out to be inseperable. You love your mommy. Everytime I talk you search the room until you can see me. It makes my heart feel with joy to know you love me so. You are the best baby anyone could ask for. We love you soo much. Happy 5 months.

It's okay Thursday

It's Okay:

...that I'm excited about not having any plans this weekend. We always have so much going on and it will be nice to relax.

...that I am addicted to a series of books by Janet Evanovich. There is eighteen in the series and i've read four. I'm trying to pace myself before I go broke buying them. I really want to download the next one to my Nook.

...that I still need to watch last week Grey's Anatomy before I can watch the new Grey's tonight.

...that it made me feel good this morning when Grant said I was his favorite teacher. I usually just think of myself as his mother but there was a lot of truth to that statement. I am his teacher too.

...that I haven't really cooked the past two night. We had sandwiches one night and corndogs with mac & cheese last night. The warm weather makes me want to be outside and not cook..... plus I need to buy some groceries.

...that I ate a yogurt and cereal bar and i'm still hungry this morning.

...that one month from now we will be at the beach and i'm super excited. I can't wait for a mini vacation and to be off work.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Easter...picture overload

We had a wonderful Easter holiday. We started with the egg hunts the weekend before Easter. We had an egg hunt at our church Shady Grove. Here are a few of those pictures....

Grant had an Easter party at school last week. They hunted eggs too. I didn't get to go since it was at 9:00 in the morning. Grant said he had a great time. On Easter we went to sunrise service, breakfast, Sunday School, and an Easter contada. We got home around 9:45 or so. I cooked a hashbrown casserole for lunch. It was the first time I tried it and I actually changed the recipe up some due to missing ingredients. Apparently everyone liked it because they want me to make it again.  The kids hunted eggs at Grandma's house before lunch and then we went home to nap. Around 4 we went to Andrews cousins house for more egg hunting. Needless to say, we have a lot of candy and plastic eggs around our house. Here are a several of those pictures....

Before the egg hunt at Grandma's....this is one of the best pictures we have off the cousins

Bryce passed out from all the excitement

Daddy rode Grant on Brian's 4 wheeler before we left.

As you can see from all the pictures we had a wonderful Easter. The only thing I didn't get a picture of was our family photo in our Easter clothes or any of just Andrew and me. Oh well, we always have next time. I know i've said in before but I will say it again....we are truelly blessed.

I'm a slacker

It has been a whole week since my last post. I usually try and keep up with blogging better. I know once I start to slack it will get easier and easier. Days will turn into weeks, which will then turn into months, and soon I will stop blogging because I am so far behind. So with that being said i'm going to try real hard not to slack too often.

Our  recap of last week...... Saturday we had an Egg hunt at the church. Grant absolutley loves to hunt eggs. This year he was more interested in getting the candy out of the eggs then hunting them. Of course, he wanted to hunt more once it was over. We also had a fish fry Saturday. After the egg hunt we stayed at church and chatted while the kids ran around and played until it was time to eat. I don't like fish but we always go to the fish fry to fellowship. Usually they have chicken or something else but they didn't this time. So I ate french fries and cheese cake....Healthy I know. It was yummy though.
Sunday we went to church. We ate lunch at home beacause grandma is out of town. I left and went grocery shopping while everyone else napped. We really needed groceries around our house. When I got back Andrew and Grant left to go help a friend move his tractor. Grant really loves tractors and was excited to ride one. Andrew played basketball Sunday night and I watched my shows. GCB and Desperate Housewives.

I started to feel bad Monday....my throat was hurting and I had that annoying post nasel drip. Tuesday when I woke up I had the worse headache ever and I was achey. Of course, I immediately though I had the flu. A co-worker had it last week, so I just knew I caught it. I decided to go ahead to the doctor because of the kids. I waited for almost two hours to find out it is a sinus and ear infection. I was super happy it was not the flu. I got a shot, an antibiotic, and some decongestant medicine. I went home and took a three hour nap. Andrew says its not a nap if its three hours it is SLEEP. Either way I never nap or sleep during the day so I must have needed it. I came back to work on Wednesday, not feeling my best but needing to return. Today I actually feel worse then yesterday. I'm back to being stopped up and I have a small headache. I really hope the medicine I took this morning kicks in soon.

On a happier note, Grant is having an Easter party at school today. They are hunting eggs and eating goodies. He is super excited about it. They are out of school tomorrow so my mother-in-law is going to watch them. Both boys are also going to stay at her house Friday night. Andrew and I are going on a date night to watch American Pie Reunion. I'm excited because i'm sure it will be funny. We NEED a date night, if for nothing more then our sanity. We usually stay at home a lot. Mostly to save money and for lack of babysitters. We usually watch tv, play games, or watch Netflix movies but sometimes its nice to get out of the house and do something. I am excited!
